Sad news, H-b retest gone wrong. I had everything memorized. My unmounted lesson, inner/outer hoof structure, and conditioning schedule were great! But then, came the Toxic plants portion. I have no clue what happened. We'll just say I had a huge brain cramp. I could name them all, tell how much is toxic, what parts are toxic, and when they're toxic. For some reason I couldn't remember the symptoms! After Sarah trying to pry the answers out of me I finally got a few fine, but not enough to meet the standard of that section. I felt quite awkward, cause if you know me (perfectionist) I started crying. I didn't know Sarah very well so that made it embarrassing. Life goes on...so I hiked up my Zocks and sucked it up. Just means I have to do my C-3 and H-B in 2012. Not the end of the world.
Next on the program was Christmas! We spent Christmas with my brother and his fiance on Friday. Then the family Christmas on Sunday. We had had NO snow, then the weekend of Christmas perfect 3 inches of snow :). I hate saying what I got for Christmas, but this year I got a lot of "needs". Long lines and side reins for Duellsa. A Equifit Shoulders back Posture Corrector. She help me with my recent right shoulder pain. One big "want" on my list was a camera. I totally did not expect it this year. It was under the tree though! I got a Fuji Film 24x zoom camera. It is really nice! Now I can actually take pictures of people at shows and the won't be fuzzy. Now, to teach my mother how to take jumping pictures.
As for the four mares. They have had most of December off due to hard and uneven footing. I usually give them a break in December anyway. A "break" though, not a month. Hopefully January will be better. Now to set some goals for 2012 for Dixie and Duellsa!
